Starting with football: Hima was born in Kandhulimari village near Dhing in Nagaon district of Assam state. Hima's parents cultivate paddy. She started playing football at an early age. Hima used to win 100-200 rupees by playing small football matches in her hometown or district. It was through this, that she developed the qualities needed to run the field.

Hardworking and Courageous: Hima was a stubborn and stubborn kid from her childhood. Whether it be farm work, someone who is sick or just in the hospital, Hima does all the work systematically. Hima's father Ranjit Das says the achievement of Hima's firm success without bowing to the situation is undeniable.

Success in adversity: Once Hima was in Guwahati for a camp, her coach Nipun Das looked after her runner. He requested Hima's parents to send her to Guwahati for training. She Finished 400 gold medals in the under-20 World Athletics Championships in Finland in July 2018. She became the first Indian woman to do so.

She now earned a silver medal in the 400m running race in Indonesia's 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.

Hima Das the team won a silver medal in the mixed relay event for the first time in the Asian Games 2018 in Indonesia.
